Prior to joining the FTZ Corporation as a Senior Consultant, Ms. Huguet served as International Trade Manager for Sony Magnetic Products, Inc. of America at Subzone No. 82D in Dothan, Alabama.

Ms. Huguet's professional experience in a manufacturing environment is long and extensive. She has served in the positions of Financial Analyst, Logistics Manager, Legal Coordinator, Risk Management, and Accounts Receivable Manager, each of which has strengthened her knowledge base in multiple business areas. While serving as Financial Analyst for Sony, Ms. Huguet created its International Trade Department, which stressed compliance and encouraged positive communications with U.S. Customs.

With IS support, Ms. Huguet designed, created, and maintained Sony's in-house FTZ system, which received Customs' highest compliance evaluation. At Sony she was responsible for the implementation of the export compliance segment of a new shipping system, and she developed and implemented a manufacturing substitution Duty Drawback ("DDB") system that utilized the bills of material to capture all qualifying duty for DDB claims. As the resident expert of the only entity to submit NAFTA DDB claims to the New Orleans Drawback office, Ms. Huguet was asked by Customs to provide a manufacturer's viewpoint of the NAFTA DDB regulations and associated claims.

She has been a member of the National Association of Foreign-Trade Zones since 1996, has served as a member of its Operator's Task Force, and its Regulatory Committee, and currently serves on its Trade Agreements Committee. She also served as an Advisory Board Member for the Dothan-Houston County FTZ, Inc., Grantee of Foreign-Trade Zone No. 233.
