Craig
Pool has been involved in virtually every aspect of the Foregin-Trade
Zones program since beginning operating and administering zones in 1989.
Mr.
Pool has vast experience writing operations manuals, activating both
distribution and manufacturing zones, configuring cost benefit analyses,
marketing, and providing expertise in every area of the Foreign-Trade
Zones program. Mr. Pool has broken ground by introducing several new
industries to the FTZ program, and is a specialist in negotiating special
procedures with U.S. Customs.
Mr.
Pool has gained considerable recognition for his experience developing
procedures that allow third party/JIT supplier warehouses to be competitive
by completely eliminating any Customs paperwork for zone-to-zone shipments.
Mr.
Pool is known nationwide for his expertise in all aspects of the FTZ
program, and currently is an active member of the National Association
of Foreign-Trade Zones, and has been since 1989. From 1998 to present,
Mr. Pool has served as chairman of the Customs Automation Committee,
which is currently working with Customs Headquarters to automate the
CF214 admission process.
